Cross-Fire offers reliable fire alarm maintenance services according to code requirements and the building’s system.
We are currently seeking fire alarm maintenance technicians to cover the night shift.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform scheduled preventative fire alarm system inspections.
- Ensure the system and all components are functioning and report status making sure to document issues that need to be rectified.
- Complete reports on time, including maintenance inspection reports, building log books, time sheet and weekly expense reports.
- Complete all job assignments on time and work in a manner that will exceed customer expectation.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fire alarm maintenance or other related fields.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Basic electrical and/or fire alarm knowledge.
- Ability to report to various job sites in New York City.
- Good work ethic.
- Analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills - to document test results and update maintenance logbooks, complete service reports and to coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Competency with hand tools - must be able to handle tools safely and efficiently.
Additional qualifications that will be considered as a plus:
- OSHA certification
Cross-Fire is IBEW Local Union No. 3 affiliated.
