CENTRAL STATION TECHNICAL SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR

We are currently seeking a Central Station Technical Support Administrator to oversee all aspects of our central station operations and accounts.  The successful candidate should be able to manage programming, set up, configuration, training, and problem accounts, monitor IP/cell accounts and dispatch technicians as needed.  Also, the successful candidate should interface with customers, technicians, service providers, IT/network managers, and central stations to ensure quality control. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Dealing directly with customers, sales personnel, technicians, contractors, central station to ensure accounts go online as scheduled and remain operational.
  • Programming Vista-32FB systems.
  • Assist and guide technicians with troubleshooting and testing.
  • Monitor IP/cell accounts, late to test, etc.
  • Ensure job reports are completed on time and include all pertinent information.
  • Track and follow up with problem accounts as well as new central station installations.
  • Attend training on new products and technology and cross-train technicians on new products/technology.
  • Collaborate with service department as well as other central station administrators to resolve issues and problem accounts.
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, etc. regarding central station specific questions or issues.

Qualifications:

  • Previous proven experience with transmitters/central station or other related fields.
  • Strong technical knowledge, including but not limited to, transmitter operation and programming, central station operation, very basic networking knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with customers and associates.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrating good computer skills.

Additional qualifications that will be considered as a plus:

  • Central station/transmitter installation experience.
  • Possessing NICET fire protection certification.
  • Notifier experience.
  • Network/IT experience.
