Cross-Fire offers reliable fire alarm Central Station services. We are currently seeking Central Station field technicians to respond to and support service calls and ensure the system and all components are functioning.
Responsibilities Include:
- Respond to all service calls related to central station
- Ensure the system and all components are functioning and report status making sure to document issues that need to be rectified.
- Complete set up and put all new transmitter installations online.
- Interface with customers, IT personnel, communication service providers, etc. on issues and problem accounts.
Qualifications:
- Previous proven experience with fire alarm transmitters (analog and digital).
- Notifier experience/ certification.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
- Basic electrical and/or fire alarm knowledge.
- Ability to report to various job sites in New York City.
- Good work ethic.
- Analytical skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Troubleshooting ability, a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills - to document test results and complete service reports and to coordinate with coworkers and supervisors.
- Competency with hand tools - must be able to handle tools safely and efficiently.
Additional qualifications that will be considered as a plus:
- Central station/transmitter installation experience
- IT/networking knowledge
