We are currently seeking an outgoing, self- motivated, AutoCAD drafter to join our team. Candidate must be dependable, detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under time sensitive deadlines while gaining experience in the fire alarm/A.R.C.S. industry.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Keeping track of incoming jobs & outgoing submissions.
- Meeting deadlines.
- Quick turnover of revisions & as-builts.
- Creating & editing CAD drawings.
- Communicating with sales reps and reflect project requirements on drawings.
- Reading layout drawings using AutoCAD Software.
- Managing audio recording files.
- Managing relevant FDNY paperwork (submittal package).
Qualifications:
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- Ability to understand and interpret contracts, proposals and purchase orders (inhouse and outside contractors).
- General administrative skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and ADOBE.
- Strong communication skills required - both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented.
- Dependable.
- Works well under pressure and able to manage multiple priorities under time sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to work as a team member and create and maintain productive relationships with all employees.
- Relevant degree and/or experience.
- Previouce experience with Fire Alarm and/or A.R.C. systems will be considered a plus.
